Ingredients

For the Drink
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • ½ cup lemon-lime soda Sprite or 7Up
  • ½ cup sugar-free Red Bull or your preferred energy drink
  • 1 tbsp blue raspberry syrup like Torani or homemade
  • 1 tbsp strawberry or cherry syrup
  • 1 splash coconut milk or half and half for the white layer

Equipment

  • tall glass
  • spoon for layering
  • straw

Method

Start with Blue
  1. In a clear glass, add a third of the crushed ice. Pour in the blue raspberry syrup slowly to form the base layer.
Create the White Layer
  1. Add another third of crushed ice. Gently mix the coconut milk or half and half with a splash of lemon-lime soda, then slowly pour over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the blue.
Finish with Red
  1. Add the remaining ice. Slowly pour the strawberry syrup, combined with a bit of soda, over the back of a spoon to create the red layer.
Boost It
  1. Top the whole drink with chilled sugar-free Red Bull (or preferred energy drink). Garnish with patriotic sprinkles, a striped straw, or a red-white-blue star fruit skewer
